Wild Fire Psychotherapy
About Me
Carlynn Schwalm, MSW, LCSW | Bozeman Therapist
I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Montana, and I’ve been providing therapy since 2020. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with individuals and couples in a variety of settings — from university counseling centers to community mental health agencies to private group practice. Before opening my own practice, I worked under the supervision of Julie Menanno, LMFT—author of Secure Love and the voice behind the well-known relationship platform @thesecurerelationship.
Advanced Training in Attachment & Relationship Dynamics
I hold a Master’s in Clinical Social Work from Walla Walla University and have continued to expand my training with specialized education across multiple modalities:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT & EFIT) for deep emotional processing and relational healing.
Neurodiversity-Affirming Practices specialized for adult ADHD, Autism, and AuDHD.
Trauma-Informed Modalities, including Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Internal Family Systems (IFS) parts-work.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and multicultural counseling.
A Collaborative, Grounded Approach to Therapy in Bozeman
As a therapist, I am warm, deeply empathetic, and supportive—but I also believe in being transparent, real, and direct when it serves your growth. My approach is both compassionate and practical; I am here to help you develop profound insight into your patterns while simultaneously building the emotional awareness, self-trust, and nervous system regulation needed for lasting change.
Whether we are working through the complex layers of trauma, navigating late-identified neurodivergent burnout, or strengthening your closest relationships, our work is grounded in a simple truth: healing happens through safe connection. I am here to help you reconnect to your emotions, your body, and the people who matter most to you.
“Until you make the unconscious conscious it will direct your life and you will call it fate.”
